Although I will be running mostly with woo, I would like to attend a few Soltra events too this year. 16 HP Vanny V-twin, 700 tranny, foot clutch, hand throttle. Just finished.

It sits into a cradle on the left side and the battery hold down strips go over it ( not in picture). Low and left... It is also completely protected from being hit from the bars on the left side beside it. The battery sits below the bar height. Very safe. ( it has to be to pass the other clubs tech also)

No box.. just sits in a very snug cradle and the hold down strap go over the battery and hook to the cradle ( not shown in picture). Trust me when I tell you it does not move (I skinned my knuckles trying to get the battery out already) Weight is low and left.

As a teck director from the west I would say you're machine will NOT pass SOLTRA tech specks as you have an open dash and our machines require this area to be filled in with either a stock dash or a home made dash but it needs a dash to pass tech. Thanks Roger

Jason as a guest you will be able to race 2 races without passing the inspection required by members.Your tractor will be checked for safety.Brakes, steering, drivetrain and shields will be checked. You will be permitted to race without a dash as a non-member if the absence of it poses no safety issues to the race field.Your tractor will more than likely be ok as a non-member. I haven't even run it at a race yet. I will find out this Sunday how competitive it is at Stonehouse Mower Speedway this Sunday. I have no idea if I'm even close on gearing yet. I do know that out of the 4 I've built in the past, this one is the best handling one yet. I just have never run a governed class before so this is pretty new to me.
